An endowment continually generates funds which will help us pay for general operations and increased programming and The Whitney Foundation is matching your donations up to $25,000! Our goal is a $100,000 endowment and we need your help…

We are applying the $5,020 that has already been donated in Memory of Garrett Noblett to the endowment. To all of you who donated THANK YOU, your donation just doubled!

Madera County Arts Councils’ Gala for the Arts Brings Community out for a Lively Evening

Madera County Arts Council’s Gala for the Arts took place Thursday, May 24th, 2018 at San Joaquin Wine Company. This annual event is the council’s biggest fundraiser of the year and was sponsored by Citizens Business Bank, Citizens Trust, Edward Jones, Camarena Health, Karen Andrew, Foster & Parker, Mojo’s Catering, San Joaquin Wine Company, Bonnie Bedford White, Ernie Palacio, Chantal Sagouspe, and Pete & Carmen’s Salsa Dance Academy.

The evening began with guests arriving for couple’s photos, live music by local variety band J.E.R.K., heavy appetizers by local favorite MoJo’s Catering, and local wine by San Joaquin Wine Company. Guests bid in a Silent Dessert Auction and Silent Jewelry Auction with pieces by local artists Eva Corona and Patti Cline.

Next, guests were treated to a live Salsa Dancing demonstration and lesson by Chantal Sagouspe (who danced in the 1998 movie Dance with Me) and Pete Swing (of Pete & Maria’s Salsa Dance Academy, located in Fresno, CA).  Soon after began the Print Raffle Drawing in which Steve Copland won a $400 framed photo print by MCAC Gallery Director Emily Redondo.

The evening ended with the drawing for the $6,000 Travel Adventure Raffle in which ticket #81 purchased by Jamie Voss was drawn. Congratulations Jamie on winning a $6,000 travel certificate with Gateway Travel, to travel anywhere your heart desires!!!
