Madera County Arts Council was established in 1982 by the Madera County Board of Supervisors.
In May 1983, the Madera County Arts Council became an incorporated agency with 501 (c)(3)non-profit status.
Madera County Arts Council is a State and Local Partner of the California Arts Council and governed by a board of directors serving Madera County.
